Yoko Kikuchi was born and raised in Manhattan. she went to Massachusetts for art school, got her BFA, and is currently back in the city, semi-homeless. She will soon be residing in the South Bronx.
Yoko got her first guitar at age 13 and started writing songs soon after. In high school she played in a band called Black Molly. Her lyrics often tell tales of cross-country travels and the woes of suburban living, or something like that. She likes candy and cities.
