The Festival
Ashamed of his threatening weapon, the Circus Bee decided to remove the dangerous stinger from his body.  After pulling, yanking, and unscrewing it through the hours of one long evening, the stinger finally came out, along with the Bee's own vital entrails.  The circus searched for a replacement bee, but never found one quite as talented or graceful.  The first 2 minutes of every performance are now spent in silence, in honor of the deceased.

I began creating The Festival in January, 2003.

I live in Connecticut near a Pirate Ship.

Many of the people, places, characters, and creatures who are represented in The Sounds Festival can also be found in The Forms Festival.

I swear to God I am trying to write a happy song, because I feel pretty happy and pretty optimistic most of the time.  The sun came up again today, like it's supposed to.

If you enjoy The Festival, you are invited to become a part of it.  Just email me, let me know what your involvement will be, include an animated online greeting card, and I will respond with further instructions.  Once everything is in place, we will hijack the ship at Captain's Cove and drive that thing onto the land.

Additional notes:

9 times out of 10, there is free stuff available at The Festival shows.  CDs,
drawings, books, etc.  Sometimes the free stuff is worth a damn, sometimes it
isn't.

Animated online greeting cards are usually free, and can be found at
hallmark.com, americangreetings.com, e-cards.com, and 123greetings.com.

We have the rest of our lives to think about why we would try to drive a pirate
ship onto the land.  Until it happens, we should all just try to concentrate on
our regular daily routines.
