I don't wanna be spreading rumurs and all but Patchwork, Linda Draper's new CD due out Feburary 1st, is a keeper. With tracks like Seven Black Crows & A Little Bit Goes it is a can't miss for any anti-fan. If you can't wait that long Linda is featured on a compilation along with another anti-hero Peter Dizozza called "SATURDAY NIGHT CEDAR" Buy that one up HERE. Casey is going to have a official release party for his new CD Bad Spell/ Good Spell on Feb. 15th. The CD features some of my Fave Casey tunes like On the map & Window in the wall.

Deirdre Flint, The Philly Antifolk Diva has just released her sophmore CD Then again. It has some tunes on it that made my list of faves last time I caught her live including My Old Boyfriend's New Girlfriend & Jenny of 100 dates (I haven't heard the recorded version yet, but I wonder which of teh dates ends up with Jenny!) Full moon over Wowtown is completed and for sale. Thomas that Mad crazy scientist of the antifolk scene has due to popular demand and just plain necessity put out a full length albulm of his songs and musings. This is one that I have wanted to hear for a while after getting a small taste from his two song ep/single. Buy it now, avoid the rush!!

Joe Bendik recently spent some time in my neck of the woods Charlotte NC. We didn't get to hang due to the fact that Joe was held up in his brother's recording studio laying down some new tracks of anti-goodness. He is mixing them now and soon the public will have to contain itself and smell the F'n roses as these tracks will be ready for consumption. (Carnivores only- these tracks are meaty)

Elyza has a special favor to ask what's her band's name? She has been working with a full band, and they have been mulling over many band name choices but they still just haven't come up with one that really works for them. Send them some emails and let them know your ideas. If someone comes up with a band name that they really love and stick with, they will send you a free copy of the upcoming cd by, by,the cool band that is not yet named.

Robin's Volksinger is a new CD coming out on Feb. 15th (The day before my Birthday) and is bein' celebrated at Sidewalk Cafe (The cooloest club on Ave A.) Is February a kick ass month or what? You be the judge and check it out!!!

The Dead Blonde Girlfriend mp3 page is up and running. These demos were done in NYC in the spring of 2002. Find it HERE. The San fransisco recordings are still being tweeked.

Dead Blonde Girlfriend had thier debut at the Sidewalk Cafe at the Larval Organs CD release party.The band performance was filmed for the Barry Z show and the show will air in New York and Los Angeles. It aired 01/23/03 in nyc. It will air again soon. Check for updates

Joie has started an offshoot project with Dibs from Dibs and Sara. The project is called "dibs on joie". They will be recording soon, releasing a cd and playing gigs. Possibly the winter Antifolk Festival.

Joie will be running the Antifolk Fest Closing Party and Open Stage with Joiedbg open stage during the antifolk fest at sidewalk. Feb 23 sunday midnight

Toby has started a label called unicornsounds,so you better recognize! The first release is a double disc compilation that will be ready real soon. In the meantime the WEBsite is up and is featuring some Toby and Babyskins Stuff (See Below) DO you hear a Boo- YA!!?

Hey just in case you didn't get that from above those crazy Babyskins have put together their first full band release. (I got smacked by the babyskins) - No really it is a self tittled three song affair. All of gods little children will enjoy.

Steve Shiffman and the land of nod are no more. But don't fret. Steve Shiffman and the Belmont Stakes are better than ever. I hear that they race well and everyone knows they are good for stud!

This Monday at the Knitting Factory Randi will have her first band show since July! Featuring veteran Lenny Molotov on bass and lap steel and old friend and former drummer Anders Griffen. If you can go and don't you gotta ask yourself why?
