Never Louder Than Lovely
Never Louder Than Lovely plays in the new ground between a songwriter and a dj. Their sound spans from acoustic guitars to goliath synths sounds of deep house music. NLTL taps into those innocently sweet synthetic pop grooves reminiscent of the mid 80's era of Molly Ringwald, and mixes in a little new electronica, a little modern rock, and slacker love poetry.

NLTL's live shows put writer/player Tom Nishioka in front of the mic with a couple of guitars, triggering a wall of synths and sequencers with any spare body part he has free at the time. His icing-on-cake vocals and dynamic beat-scapes take crowds through a journey comparable to NYC's best DJ's, while retaining the intimacy of a solo performer.

Originally from Wisconsin, Tom has mixed live sound and engineered albums for the past 10 years in New York, earning national TV, radio, and a Billboard chart credits. Treble, a 15 woman choir, joins NLTL onstage for selected gigs, and on recordings.
