Or a veterinarian. sp? <Brad> But you said in "rockstar" that you didn't want to be one anymore- what changed? <Major> I'm a terrible speller <Brad> I bet I'm worse <Major> What process improvements would you give to antifolk? <Brad> Maybe tour down south <Major> Hook me up <Brad> Hopefully the fansite is helping with compling information <Brad> I got one maybe <Major> It really is. You are rapidly becoming a hereo to many who have never mett you. <Brad> In Charlotte <Major> When and where and I'll be there. <Brad> Well I always had trouble finding info when i started to get into antifolk <Brad> I'd have to talk to the "what's new guy's" brother <Major> ???? <Brad> He is a songwriter in Charlotte and works at a plavce called the evening Muse <Brad> On the fansite in the corner is a friend of mine that I drew a Mullet on called the what's new guy <Brad> Click on him and find out what was added to the site <Major> Oh yeah. I thought that was you at first. <Brad> nope <Brad> I still have hair <Brad> I'm sporting for the lyric drive though <Major> I think I figured that out <Major> You look younger than 28 <Brad> I'm not <Brad> but thanks <Brad> You heard of Rob Getzschman? <Brad> I just got an email from him <Major> Yes. he drove up to Boston a week or so ago. Not super familiar with his music but it's cool that he's trying to start these antifolk nights in Boston at the Kendall club. <Brad> cool- he just found the fansite and told me he was trying to get something started in Boston <Brad> When did you start OJ? <Major> Offically may of '99 but I'd been putting out tapes and stuff of my own and call it Olive Juice for a few years before that <Brad> So you were with the scene way before then right? <Brad> I first saw you on that antihoot thing in 95-96 <Major> I moved to NYC the summer of '93 I discovered the Fort a few months after that. <Brad> Big move from Kansas right? Miss the flatlands? <Major> It's not that flat. It's just sort of hilly. Uh, It sort of feels like another life. I don't really miss it but I love a lot of things about Kansas, mostly friends. <Brad> I hear ya. Who was the first on Oj after you? and how'd that come about? <Major> I was assisting in a studio in Soho and I need someone to experiment and I asked Mike Rechner (before he was with Dina) if I could record him. During that process we deccide to put thier record out. <Major> this thing only lets you type so much |
