HIgh Heels

What do you think of High Heels?
I hope they stay the same forever.
I love their songs
They are just like Sunday Morning
Too much, just too much
Send them down the drain

This is how it all began. (Mats story.)

You could see the beginning of High heels from two directions. The first one started some time in the spring of 2001 when Mats and Fred had a band together. They didn't differ much from High heels current setting. The band had a guitar, a piano, a cello and two people singing. The band practiced all spring and a part of the

summer, but was put down by various reasons. Some of the songs are now played by High heels, is Down the drain and numb.

The other direction starts with Emilia being really excited about playing pop music. She talked to Fred and He and Mats was equally excited. They decided to meet up and talk things through. They met up at Fred's a Friday a long time ago. After this they met at an other occasion where they also played a bit. The felt like something was missing. But that was soon to change, they met Kerstin who went to a high school with musical orientation! She was in. She could both sing and play. She had the cello as her main instrument and they thought it would sound nice in their band.

As time went by they got to do their first shows. Kerstin had a lot to do in school so she had to take a break from the band. To replace her they got Challis on the cello. Challis and Mats had played together in a band before. After the show at "Särimner" they decided that Challis should be in the band too. After the show at "Särimner" the band practiced a lot and all of a sudden they got to do a good many shows. This lead to High heels recording their first demo. It was a live demo recorded in 2002. On a later event they met Ruben Engzell, he was interested in recording some of High heels songs. That resulted in a second demo and later also a third demo with Ruben.
Unfortunately Challis is no longer playing with the band since he has moved to Lund.
