Florida Boys
The Florida Boys (*1997) see themselves as a folkband. Folk as the emotional frame within which it also likes to rock from time to time. Rock in the sense of a catching sound. A sound that takes melancholy as the point of departure for every artistic expression and which, without beating about the bush, reaches the heart. Not straight to the centre but rather
roundabout. After all, metaphoric of any kind does not touch the core of desperation and finality but its conditions. Conditions that appraise the range of irony. Metaphoric, which ultimately remains self-referential. Thereby following folk's true meaning of telling it how it is while at the same time, if it is good folk, delivering meaning through metaphors of the indissolubility of love and simultaneous despair. Based on a straightforward and beautiful sound that wish to dictate nothing: "People talking about the world with the help of words..." (track 3, "Love  with the help of words"). Back to music. Back to song writing, the Great Desaster behind us. Welcome New Age. Welcome "Beautiful Boredom".
